My name is Alessandra Canario. The name for the website came from my own Ally for Alessandra and Bird for Canario, like the Canary bird. Ally Bird is a place to share my photography,  and sell my own and Reconstructed Style's clothing. 



Reconstructed Style is an organization that transforms old or unwanted articles of clothing to something new, creative, and exciting. This process of transformation is called reconstructing or upcycling. The concept is the same as house flipping. 50% or more of the profits will go towards Girls Learn International (GLI) and the rest of the money will go to supplies and the organization. GLI is an organization that gets middle school and high school students involved in demolishing the genderachievement gap in global education. GLI keeps 10% to help facilitate the partnerships and sends 90% to the Partner School. Partner Schools are required to spend the funds in ways that empower girls and increase girls’ access to education, and to report to GLI about how the funds are spent.
